May Roundup: AAPI Heritage Month, New Research on Young Men, Talker Call, and Primary Client Wins.
This month, HIT’s Chief Research Officer, Roshni Nedungadi, joined the America Votes AAPI panel to share new HIT research on one of the most consequential — yet least invested — voting blocs in American politics: Asian American and Pacific Islander voters. Our latest findings show an electorate that is rapidly growing, racially, linguistically, and intergenerationally diverse, and still politically persuadable, with neither party holding a clear advantage. To build lasting political power, our research demonstrates that engaging AAPI voters requires a multi-pronged approach, one that meaningfully addresses this bloc’s distinct languages, cultures, and communities.

Talker Call Recap
Thank you to everyone who joined HIT Strategies’ first Talker Call of the year. We had over 150 attendees hear our three researchers unpack the data and dynamics behind shifting political attitudes among young men across demographics. The discussion dove into fluctuating party affiliations, the media ecosystem, ideological fluidity and the social conditions shaping how young men vote. Our team plans to share an accompanying Narrative Report that goes even deeper into this voter bloc and showcases the latest research from our clients, Third Way, Black Men Vote and more.

Georgia & Texas Primary Wins & Leaders to Watch
Congratulations to HIT candidates Keisha Lance Bottoms and Mo Ivory on their monumental primary victories in the state of Georgia as well as Christian Menefee as he heads to Congress representing Texas’ 18th Congressional District. While Everton Blair Jr.’s race didn’t end in a win, his campaign showcased a rising political leader with the vision, coalition, and momentum to watch in the years ahead.

New HIT Research: Black Men Vote Young Men Political Attitudes

New polling with Black Men Vote will challenge the way people talk about Black male voters. Surveying 1,636 registered Black male voters ages 18–45 across Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina, this is one of the largest studies of its kind. From political identity to media consumption and voter engagement, the findings reveal a more nuanced, persuadable, and independent electorate than many assume — with 1 in 4 voters remaining uncertain or unlikely to participate heading into 2026.

New HIT Research: Survey Findings Among Young Male Voters
This HIT Strategies and Third Way report draws on a December 2025 national survey of 1,462 young male voters and finds they prioritize economic stability, authenticity, and accountability over partisan loyalty, with a strong preference for political leaders who feel genuine, address the affordability crisis, and speak directly to their concerns ahead of 2026.
