Jen is an experienced business development and research professional with over 25 years of experience spanning public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Her work sits at the intersection of legislative policy, market research, and strategic outreach, with a proven track record supporting campaigns, organizations, and mission-driven initiatives. She brings expertise in stakeholder engagement and translating data into actionable insights that drive impact.
Jen was asked to challenge a 12-year incumbent in the 2016 race for NC House District 36. She ran a strong campaign, coming within 1,420 votes of victory, and helped pave the way for another dedicated Democratic mom to win the seat in 2018. The campaign experience for her wasn’t just about running for office; it was about learning how to listen to people, build coalitions, and turn real-world challenges into actionable solutions. As an Account Manager, Jen brings that same commitment to connection and problem-solving—helping clients navigate research investment, aligning stakeholders, and implementing strategies that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
A graduate of Elon University with a background in political science and public administration, Jen is passionate about advancing work that serves the “good of the whole.” Originally from Northern Virginia, she has called Raleigh, NC home for 20 years, where she is raising her teenage twins. She enjoys indoor gardening, photography, live shows (all genres), walking, prayer, and meditation.
