In HIT Strategies’ first BlackTrack (survey of Black registered voters) post the 2022 midterms, a majority (59%) say President Biden should run for President in 2024, even before an official campaign announcement. This includes 66% of Black voters 50 and older and 55% of Black voters under 50. And 74 percent of Black voters approve of President Biden’s job performance.
Additionally, the January BlackTrack adds new political figures to the favorability tracker, including newly elected Democratic House Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senator Raphael Warnock, businessman Elon Musk, and Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.
BlackTrack is HIT Strategies’ recurring monthly national survey of 1,000 Black voters ages 18+ on current social and political issues. BlackTrack tracks Black Americans’ opinions and disaggregates the data into demographic groups to understand Black voters’ full diversity. The majority of BlackTrack data is proprietary and only available for subscribers. For more information on previous data or to subscribe, go to hitstrat.com/blacktrack.
