Crain’s Cleveland Business quotes HIT Strategies partner Roshni Nedungadi about Cleveland residents lacking basic knowledge about off-year elections:
From Crain’s Cleveland Business: “According to Roshni Nedungadi, partner at the polling company HIT Strategies, the responses show that Cleveland residents who don’t vote are not apathetic but that they lack basic knowledge about off-year elections and who is running in them.
Even though the voters that Nedungadi spoke to during the group’s six focus group sessions thought voting was important and can be a tool to make change, 75% said they did not have basic information, including where, when and how to vote.
‘They don’t have the information how to make the next step and be an active participant in their communities, she said.'”
