Laine Seliga is a Research Assistant at HIT Strategies where she liaises between departments to synthesize internal research, support strategic initiatives, and prepare executives for presentations. She brings several years of political research and briefing experience to her role, including experience across academic, government, and intelligence community settings.
Prior to joining HIT Strategies, Laine worked in education as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in U.S. government, political research methodologies, and international peacebuilding. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University (OH) and a Ph.D. from Kent State University (OH), both in political science. Much of her research explores the intersectionality of gender within government policies and programs. She is eager to pursue her interests in electoral politics, social activism, and advocacy work with HIT.
Laine resides in the Cleveland, OH area with her adoring husband, darling son, and precocious puggle. They delight in outdoor adventures together, such as hiking, kayaking, camping, and taking road trips.
