Election Season is Here and We’re Ready to HIT the Ground Running
|
|
This summer, HIT Strategies is celebrating its fifth anniversary! For the past five years, HIT has led the conversation in pivotal voter issues and assessing the current political climate.
As a research firm focused on empowering underrepresented communities, this election season will serve as a crucial time. HIT’s ongoing priority will be staying informed of what voters want and creating better outcomes for issues they care about.
This involves delving into the emerging electorates that will be determining factors in this election – voters of color, including Black voters, and young voters.
Our most recent collaboration with Lake Research Partners, Intersections of Our Lives (a reproductive justice collaborative of NAPAWF, In Our Own Voice, and Latina Institute), looks at the connections across Black, Latina/x, and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) women voters and their motivations and issue priorities in the 2024 election.
|
|
Key findings show views of AAPI, Black, and Latina/x women voters on critical issues often align with these top concerns:
- Access to affordable healthcare, including abortion and birth control
- Improving material health outcomes
- Addressing rising costs and prices

Leading the Way in Examining Black Political Power
We’ve been at the forefront of understanding Black political power and its decisive impact on the election. This means making a deeper investment in Black voters and understanding their diverse values, beliefs, and political identities to create effective clusters.
