HIT Talker Calls are a forum for communities of practice to meet our researchers. Each call is dedicated to a specific research topic, and we invite our incredible clients and partners to share their HIT experience and the impact of their research. Our researchers share insights into key opportunities and participants get to ask questions about their own research aspirations in a group consultation. Each Talker Call is led by our research investment team, which is skilled at helping advocacy organizations, campaigns, and other political organizations pursue research goals and maximize their investments.

In an era where traditional political party loyalty is fading, engaging the Black electorate—especially young Black voters—has never been more critical. Joshua Doss and Jamel Love, Research Managers at HIT Strategies, hosted a thought-provoking Talker Call on "Next-Gen Black Voters: Shaping Political Power and Policy." This urgent discussion explored how to connect with a new generation of Black voters who are more skeptical of political institutions, while tackling the issues that matter most to them, such as the economy, cost of living, and the shifting political landscape.

This talker call focused on women’s reproductive rights in the U.S., featuring our partner All* In Action Fund. The All* In Action Fund is a catalyst for abortion justice, committed to building the political power of people of color working to make ends meet. All* In Action Fund shared pivotal research on their reproductive rights work, their insight into what compels policymakers and donors towards actionable decision-making, and what led All* In Action Fund to research BIPOC electorate views on abortion and reproductive rights.

HIT's first Talker Call of the year explored public safety and crime in the U.S., where attendees heard from HIT Research Manager Ashley Aylward, HIT Chief Research Officer and Founding Partner Roshni Nedungadi, and Vera Action Director Insha Rahman about how "Countering Racialized Politics About Crime in 2024: Why 'Serious about Safety' Works Better Than 'Tough on Crime.'
