Ariel Freedman

Communications Intern

Ariel is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied political science and economics. During her time at UNC, she worked hard to raise student voices and to provide platforms for all students to speak directly to administrators about the issues important to them. It was her work on various student body president campaigns that drew her towards learning how to connect her fellow students to the town of Chapel Hill. She spent her senior year working to build relationships between organizations in the town of Chapel Hill and the students. Additionally, she spent her time organizing lobbying meetings and phone and email campaigns to advocate for students to the North Carolina State Legislature. Ariel believed it should be the role of student government to help and to provide space for all student groups to take their advocacy efforts beyond campus and to the state capital. She developed a passion for political messaging and empowering voters through her work on campus, volunteering on Democratic campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, and her experiences with AIPAC.

Outside of work, Ariel enjoys cheering on the Tar Heels in any sporting event and hiking in the mountains of North Carolina
